Integrative coaching, focusing on transformational, long-term change using more than one approach or model.
Services can be mixed and matched to suit you individually, with bespoke packages of yoga; personal training; somatic work; life coaching; coaching in nutrition and health and/or coaching in herbal nutrition.
Coaching is a forward-facing form of introspection; as well as offering incremental, lasting effects on your day-to-day, it can ultimately result in profound life changes.
The mindbody can be a complex place; somatic work offers a gentle space to tap into a deep, innate intelligence and to untangle various aspects of your own experience.
Movement is medicine! In one-to-one movement-based coaching, you'll explore your experience, how to train "mind over matter", and to reach your full potential.
Sessions start at £60 per hour; packages and concession rates are available.
My name is Qayyah.
I offer a range of services centred around helping those within my community to enjoy a better quality of life; to reconnect within themselves and relationally, using the deep, innate intelligence of their own bodies.
I come from a background of Sufi mysticism; my focus is on using ancestral knowledge – often through embodied practices like yoga and somatic work, as well as ayurveda – to reintegrate in a radical way, and to unlearn unhelpful colonial conditioning.
I offer different forms of coaching, all with a broader more holistic focus on giving you more ownership over your experience – in how you consume, move, create, breathe, and how you are; how you can create space to make the best use of your time and energy.
As a linguist, I view the bodily experience as a form of constant communication, both internal and relational.
I'm interested in helping others explore the deeper-held stories they tell themselves, using different tools to potentially shift their understanding of their experience.
I’m also interested in how we communicate within our communities, and in embracing a more radical definition of ‘self-care’ that serves us both individually and collectively.
All of my offerings are available either in-person or online.
My yoga classes are a smooth, continuous, playful flow of different yoga postures; I teach 'dynamic vinyasa', which means linking movement to your breath.
In class, you'll spend 60-75 minutes in a safe and supportive space, being guided through inhaling and exhaling to transition through one posture to the next – cultivating heat in the body with the goal of bringing more stillness to the mind and heart.
This class isn't just about power, strength, or discipline; it aims to help you use your body to find harmony and balance, mentally, emotionally, and physically; to use the breath and the postures to find spaciousness, release, and softness – and perhaps a little playfulness, too!
All asana (postures) are optional; the only compulsory element is that you breathe.
Though ideal for those with some experience of yoga, this class is accessible to beginners looking to challenge themselves; all are very welcome.
Wherever you are in your practice, however you're feeling on the day, this class is a chance to hit pause, to observe your breath and your experience – and perhaps to discover something new.
